Yeah so I wuz just showering in the dark, eating fruitloops and humming Sabbath when I began tracing back my steps. "How did I come to be in this ridiculous position?" Then I remembered roughly an hour ago when Olive made me some waffles. "Would you like some weed butter on them?" I must have said yes.

Late night walkabout

Like we do. We both painted paintings all night.
We painted in separate rooms and when we were done (5 am) we showed each other what we had done. The only thing they have in common is the rubber chicken! Bawk. Olive did a special. lovely togetherness bike ride motif while I went with an alien abduction/observation theme. that may have something to do with the apprehension of having health care for the first time in my life.
I wuz all feeling sorry for myself for having a broken down bike and lost clown career.
I'm grateful to have made it through but losing our stride is gonna take a lot of work to build back up. I thought Olive was about to make it worse. "Cmon it's bikini time." Me (like a little kid) "But I don't wanna wear a bikini."
Gender rolls don't mean anything to me but I really don't like grabby strapped garments. I have a square body that likes square clothes. Occasionally Olive dresses me up in drapey strapy things that make me feel like I'm being eaten by a jellyfish.
She said "I'm not gonna make you wear your bikini, I have a few to try on and I want your opinion." Somehow my bad mood went away. It's like I consulted an oracle who told me to s.t.f.u. and rebuild the stride with a smile ya dork!

Olive "I'm getting us food stamps!"
Olive "I'm getting us food stamps!" Me"We qualify for food stamps?" Her "We always qualified but never needed to apply. We purposefully kept our income low to for tactical reasons but covid 19 changed the rules a bit. Now we qualify and it's relevant." Tru dat. Chasing money was never a big part of our clownistry, just what we need. We ate free in lots of places and had so many lifegazms it never seemed right to ask Uncle Sam for anything. Covid changed it. I thought I was living on popcorn and hotdogs to remember my circus days. lol. So on hold with the Gova Mint for an hour it kept playing this jazz progression that sounded like a Casio organ submerged in a fishtank. Garbled. I absolutely loved it. So much did I dig the sound I started looking up Steely Dan chords to try and learn how to play them. Trying to be helpful I grabbed Olive a pen and paper to talk to Da Man. She waved me off pointing to her computer. Last time I was on food stamps my daughter was little and there was no laptops. lol. Then a miracle happened, Olive's laptop froze, my archaic device may come in handy after all. She said when we get the stamps there will be none of my food martyring allowed. That's that idiotic thing were she asks for a shopping list and I got nothing but coffee. "Spend the rest on you and the kids." If there is fancy bread in the house they have to tell me it was day old, if there are steaks they have to say "Don't worry, we didn't spend money on you we found this at a bus stop" Yeah me being a food martyr is zero help to Olive who just needs to get the shopping chore done. Good job sticking with this Olive.

Mongolian mounted knights
Ya ever wonder about these guys?
Mongolian mounted knights. These are not the same as the light cavalry that took over the ancient world, these are the invasion fleet that tried to invade Japan. I was thinking about Japanese warriors. They would have to defend their island using square tipped swords made for cutting down other square swords and peasants. To fight a Mongolian Knight they would need something like a Medieval European broad sword (Or a series of typhoon that sink the Mongolian fleet before they even reach land). The Japanese sword was the finest in the world but you could bend it in half with your knee. I know you guyz think about this as much as I so I recently interviewed an expert. A genuine Mongolian Hebrew Martial arts instructor called Joey Haber. I said " Hey prof, Had the "divine wind" not sunk the Mongolian fleet twice how would the Shogun fight them with their glorified machetes? Joey smiled and reminded me that the Japanese has spear technology available. Mounted warriors are highly allergic to pointy things on sticks. If you wanna get your Kung Fu on talk to Mr/Haber at the Flying Tortuous academy. https://www.flyingtortoise.org/

Glow in the dark painting i did last night.
Glow in the dark painting i did last night.
I used a full 2oz. bottle on this. I have been creating a novel one frame at a time. As I work, the plot jumps around a lot. It's like having a square crystal ball that I use to check in on theses foos every time I paint. This painting is from the first chapter. It's the wonderful Primeland resort's gondola rental.
"The jungle is yours to explore but remember never to get out of the ride."
20X16" acrylic on new canvas, glows brightly after being exposed to light. I love how this photo is a time capsule. It's got the remnants of the previous live music fliers on the pole and a wire that fell during the last winter storm.

Olive once drew a portrait of me from memory that looked just like me. How does she do that?
Olive once drew a portrait of me from memory that looked just like me. How does she do that? The other night we were laying in our bed in the dark when Olive started talking about me and our two kids facial features. She talked at length about who has what from what parent, wrinkle patterns and dimensions. The music album was just over half an hour and that is how long she talked about the details of our faces.I can't even imagine talking about guitar for half an hour and I'm an expert. Olive is an expert at art, observation and owning three people. Now I know why she cares so much about accurate face measuring for her mask making. She is seeing things everyone isn't immediately hip to.

end of pandemic in sight
end of pandemic in sight. I'm savoring the positives of the covid crisis, lower light pollution, less car traffic, lots of cycling. For me I haven't ridden my tallbike for a year and thus had no injuries. That's what I'm savoring most. That never happens.

ireland
I just mailed a package to Ireland. Masks. We use whatever is around for shipping materials un-ironically we used a Lucky Charms box. Tried many times to mail this but the PO was always too full. This time it wasn't so full but I hit another road block. After waiting in line the clerk tells me I gotta fill out a form. I didn't know there was gonna be a game show element involved. I filled it out best as I could but lost my place in line. Luckily the guy who took my spot was worse prepared than I. This dude brought in a birthday present complete with a bow and handed it over. Clearly he had never mailed anything. "You need a box bro" the clerk said. Ha! I moved back up and sent the masks to an address that looks like it was written in Klingon.
