Pioneer girl got a lot of hoots at the grocery store.

 Pioneer girl Olive Rootbeer got a lot of hoots at the grocery store. 

People were struggling with cars and even walking in the parking lot. 

That's when they all saw Olive and her sled trundling by.  

She must have looked hilarious shopping with a sled in her cart. A worker did that thing where folks suggest we do exactly what we are doing. "You should put your groceries on the sled and walk home." 

She was laughing "Did he think i was taking the sled on a date?" On the way out an unmasked gent offered to help Olive move a cart she wasn't moving. She just wanted his dumb ass out of her face so she said "No thanks." "FINE!" He stormed off.

 she got into the parking lot and got 5-6 families all shouting to each other that they wish they had thought of that. 

After thatI caught Olive mushing herself home. She was covered in sweat and couldn't wait to hit the shower. Thanks for being our hunter gatherer Olive!

Out on the town. My parents are visiting from San Antonio.

 
We went out after a gig with the P's. Funny that they notice things we don't. I had no idea there was a tallbike graphic on our local ATM.

Derby night!

  We were gifted a couple of VIP tickets and decided to take the whole crew. We had a blast. The only part we didn't like was seeing players we know and care about hurt. It was really exciting. 

It was funny watching our son have no idea what he was looking at. Our daughter had done some kid's roller derby and was able to clue him in. 

We did an experiment. We got permission to go out at half time and give out hundreds of balloons in the home-team's colors (The wreckers are teal, silver and black). We didn't know if we could even get that many balloons out in that short time or how well it would go over. 

At first it was great. The crowds loved us and everyone wanted a balloon to wave around. Some of the players were down too but in the end it was not so good a result because the players reported that it was distracting when all those balloons began popping. It's cool. We wouldn't know where to plug in if we never try. I enjoyed the food, the VIP seats and the free drinks. Seeing Olive tipsy and screaming for her favorite players was a riot. Thanks for the opportunity Annie Bosworth Foley Everyone was really nice to us and the family had a swell time.

From Mom to clown...well a Mom the whole time...and a clown.

This is the breakfast Olive made for our son. A half peach in yogurt with bacon. 

We took him to his first day of 8th grade and signed him up.

 Then it was quickly off back to our side of town to clown up and clown out for the kidz.

I see what Olive was up to when she is the passenger on my tallbike today. <3 span=""> <3 span=""> <3 span="">

We made zero money at our gig. So understandably Olive decided we should go to a place the sells mustard by the 5 gal. bucket

 Olive could be heard from across the store laughing her head off.
 Our fellow customers and the employees had mixed reactions to seeing us.
One lady smiled huge and said "EEEEE circus peepoe!"
 Great to do some grocery shopping in bulk at the old Cash and Carry.
It was a riot tearing around there watching Olive go bonkers over the massive quantities.

 I really enjoyed the chance to give my son a lesson on pro kitchen and bar-tending equipment.

Today a kiddo was so excited she cracked the car's front windsheild with her little head.

 It was outside our Pie Spot Pie Shop gig. She was no worse for wear. She thought it was funny. 

Mom says it's a loaner car since her husband got rear-ended in the family hoopty just yesterday. 
Our first show (At 2 sisters cafe) was packed but the second one at Pie Spot only drew two. 
Normally we would pass out a couple balloons and thankyous then split but these two were superfans. They could write our setlists for us if they wanted to. 
There is no way we will let them down. 
We did a show for them on the tables outside Pie Spot and performed like it was for hundreds. Passersby looked confused. Lots of people driving by waved. I had an enchanted time
. Everyday feels like a movie but today looked like it as well with the sporadic rain showers filling the air with smells and colors. Olive was radiant and incredible to watch as usual.

 We love the Pie Spot. We love the story about them building a bakery up from a food cart. The pie shells were created to not need much packaging. It's great. They also pay us well even though we don't often pack em in. They pay us double what most do. They treat us like royalty. The great thing is that they will treat you just as well when you walk in the door, My fave is the Chicken Pot pie. There's no pot in it but I love that dish anyway. #PieSpot https://www.pie-spot.com/

Imagine how unreasonable a 3 y.o. is.

This Dude. Imagine how unreasonable a 3 y.o. is. Not the part where they throw a fit because something is the wrong color. I'm talking about the laughing at a joke that isn't funny part. "knock knock, who's there?, "bannannapumpkin!" That's my best 3 yo joke. No idea why it works but it kills. Imagine the joy of the laugh that non-sequitur gets and that is how one of our fans rolls 24-7. Pure joy and he is also a huge O&D fan. 

now we gotta build this bike. 

My man recently gifted us this portrait. He actually made an entire O&D comic book. I'm so impressed that a three year old did this, We get a lot of fan art. I think this is some of the best skill I ever seen. Can't wait to see what this Dude does when he grows up. I asked what the circles under Olive were. Everyone in the room scolded me "Those are balloons!" I didn't see that right away, I thought the kid somehow found my "too hot for internet" pics of us. Anyhoo, I'm super impressed with this artwork. I would make it our official Tshirt but unfortunately people are more likely to ask us for a free shirt than buy one so we end up folding every shirt run.

I thought someone in the neighborhood was playing the saw. Then i realized it's Olive exploring the highest pitches of her voice.

I'm outside and it's pretty loud even though she is inside on the third floor. It must be coming up from the vents. lol I love when she sings covers of heavy metal songs. Olive makes Judas Priest sound like a Disney movie.
