"air conditioner"

Funny. Olive wakes me up today with the "air conditioner" that is a flurry of a thousand kisses.
But in my dream we were arguing with each other at a rowdy house party.
Her kisses are intoxicating but I'm still stupid enough to be looking at her sideways thinking "This is nice but I still remember those things my mind thinks you said at the party I made up while unconscious."
I wanted to go back to sleep and make things right with fantasy Olive before making out with actual Olive but it didn't happen.
That's not how the Air Conditioner works.

house clownz

They didn't warm like usual. We live in a tricked out 1920's house that rents rooms like a hotel.
Every few days we meet folks from all over the world. We don't work here, we are just the house clowns. Usually they are thrilled to meet us, see our bikes and be on vacay.
This time they just stared silently as I introduced myself and showed them their room. They backwards walked to their room and slammed the door.
I don't need to be liked by everyone, it just rolled off my back. Then I walked by a mirror.
Earlier Olive and I were making out pretty hot like (or in other words...business as usual) and I had her red lipstick covering my entire lower face.
I didn't look like a clown, I looked like I was just devouring a wildebeest on the Serengeti with the jackals and hyenas.

That gave me a good laugh. I'm not full of myself so i rarely look in mirrors.
I guess I should start paying better attention now that we are house clowns.

like what we do?
Maybe you are in a place to pitch in to our clownistrary.
We are but humble street performers who livce out of our tip jar. Here is a link to our online hat. :)

Most of the guests are intrigued to see us come and go.
They ask us about our life and have lots of laughs with us. We are super good "single serving" friends so it works out.

Sometimes they don't know clowns live here and boy are they surprised.
The lady from Miami actually jumped in and helped us load a balloon bag yesterday. That was cool.
check this out...
We are not employees but we do like getting paid.
I was thinking of stealing a page from the carnival ride playbook. Y'know how when you go down the log ride, they offer you a pic of your trip?
Maybe the clowns can do the same and offer the guests photos of themselves that the clowns took of them while they were sleeping?
YES!

Two parades in one day.

Two parades in one day.
Last weekend we put over 30 miles on our tallbikes.
It was something we are well suited for as we love riding our bikes and navigating to distant places.
We were on the Kidical Mass bike ride parade at Gateway Green dirtbike park and then did a show/balloons.

That evening we were in the Starlight parade stunt riding.

Our parade jobs were escorting a New Orleans group.
A riverboat float, several dancers and a brass band.
Olive and Dingo are classic Portland Oregon personalities but Ptown has had a great relationship with the Big Easy for a long time. We fit right in.
Our job was to be sheepdogs.
Olive and Dingo take a side of the road each, surge forward and then criss-cross in front of the float.

We ride fast and hard so the crowds on both sides of the road gasp and feel the excitement. Lots of "Oooohhh"s and "AAaaaah"s.
Then the routine went that we would ride along the sides of our group keeping them together, filling out space between them and separating them from the marching bands before and after us. There ya go, tallbike sheep-dogs ruffruff.
We did it over and over. It was a lot of stunt riding and a lot of fun.

The announcers had no reason to mention our names but the crowds did.
It was exhilarating to hear so many people screaming our names with glee at block after block.
People reacted to us like they were seeing old friends, many of them were. That was touching. We loved watching each other being impressive and we thought about the great people who donated a bunch of hard earned moolah to outfit our lights and gear to help us look sharp.
Thank you Friends, we can't do it without you.
At the end we celebrated eachother and watched the marching bands arrive at the end and pile into school buslandia.

The Mardi Gras  folks gave us lots of love and invited us back to sheepdog for them next year.
After saying goodbye to our new friends, we turned the lights off, got on our bikes and quietly rode home holding hands and planning our next day's shenanigans...being a 12 year olds parents.

I love Portland free boxes. So much of the coolest stuff I ever brought home came from random boxes of stuff people put out. Today I found t...
