Photo of M.B. and I acting like we dont know each other.

M.B. can't be at the show tonight but I hope you can.
This evening I'm working with professional wrestler and former Clown House Droog, "Gunner Dizmal".
He was part of the Clown House gang when it was still called Pepto Dizmal and his job was "Eating and beating" his primary duty was to eat things and be our body guard as we did sideshow work on the dark streets and dirty bars of Portland from about 2000-2004. Back then Portland was quite a bit meaner than it is now by far.
Tonight he will be regurgitating things and playing a game called "How many Upholstery Tacks can I pick up with my fuckin face"..bring the kids for that one!
21 and over kids that is!

Dante's Inferno
Downtown Portland!
it's easy to find...there are lots of little fires burning inside and a slightly hellish atmosphere full of drunks, crazies, rock stars, strippers, cops, tourists, noise and tonight....clowns.
Click the above title to know more about this show.

Working with the HObo Goblins! Last Wed. at Dante's (click here)

I needed some help with a show on Wed. so I asked around...
Then KIKI from the Sprockettes Emailed me with info that my old friends the Hobo Goblins are in town from Oakland CA.
Thanks KIKI! It's like I asked for a 9 volt battery and got an entire transformer sub station!!!

I got to work on the "Behemoth" a giant tall bike that holds all the clown stuff I need to work alone.

The Goblins were intrigued that my bike is wired for sound...they did a lot of drumming and shouting into my bike.

We did the wonderfully popular "Sideshow Speakeasy" show at Dante's Downtown!

Instant Goblin Music on arrival!
It's like a smelly, loud, dangerous family reunion...so long it's been since we have worked together that some of these cats only know me as a drunk and I haven't had a drink in YEARS!

The last time we worked together was in 2005 on a little movie called "Clown Shorts"
here is a link...

As they played music outside the venue they attracted the attention of a drunken group of Elk Lodge conventioneers from North Carolina.
The oldsters hired the Goblins to perform at the big hotel they were staying at.
I didn't go but I hear the hotel staff wasn't having any goblins in their fancy place so they were kicked out after playing many songs.
They got $150 from the conventioneers and they joined the Goblins back at Dante's for the show. I hung out with the old folks at the table and eventually convinced one of the old guys to be in one of my acts!!!
Thats him (on the left)...the Elk!

The eLK'S Lodge conventioneers from North Carolina really hooked the Goblins up!

The fellahs "Trick Knee" didn't help my act at all but afterwards Dan Abbot (Boss of the Hobo Goblins) looked at me and said in perfect Dungions and Dragon's language..."Secret Society finds favor in goblins...+2 charm and $150 GP".

(Goblin Saw Player in the dressing room)

this is how they looked from my staging zone...downstairs in the dressing room.

They used to beat the crap out of each other...nowdays they are more or less just really hot looking and nasty smelling...they all still eat things that would make a human puke!

I love it whan I survive my own act....

Punctuating my musical notes with a wine bottle thrown at a stack of plates is my new friend Justin Time the juggler. This is the moment seconds before the CRASH!

I enjoy doing an act that requires so much clean up.

I was talking to this guy (click here)

And I had a flash from the past...
Once I was in a heavy metal band that practiced in an attic.
Mornings I would slide one of the two trap sets next to the other and play two drum sets for an hour.
I don't play drums...I just enjoyed waking up all the other band/room mates up at 8am.
I did find that doing that amazingly mean spirited prank built my arms up a little bit...damn, I miss waking people up.
Recently I named my heavy metal band "Medieval Dentistry" because I thought 'What could be bloodyer and screamy-er than Medieval era dentistry...then I found out that tooth care was one of the few things that they were good at AND those fuckers didn't have sugar like we do so they had really strong teeth.
That is, strong teeth for someone who's life expectancy is about 48 years old.
hahahaha! I cracked myself up.

BOOBIE PAINTING

I look out of my mind in this photo. Thanks Mighty Acrobats for taking pics. Playfully painting our friend onstage is always a riot. It's an experience to share, and is always done with respect. It's been a way for someone to overcome a fear threshold and be a part of their own worst dream. I often feel like a character in someone's dream.

I love Portland free boxes. So much of the coolest stuff I ever brought home came from random boxes of stuff people put out. Today I found t...
