Slappycakes!

Went to Slappycakes! The d.i.y. pancake spot with griddles on the tables is one of our favorite local places. I actually wasn't too hip to go this morning because we only had a few people at our gig.
I don't like spending the trickle of flow we get in one setting. Olive lives for dates so it's worth it.
She assured me we could cover it.
Still I ordered the cheapest thing and swiped some batter from the next table. I got the cheapest thing by default...I just love biscuits and gravy.

The batter special today was Chai.
We like having a couple of color values at the table. The kinds of batter plus the time it cooks is where the art comes from.

The toppings are just window dressing.

It's a delightful surprise each time because you are pouring the batter to make a picture on the other side.
You never know if it came out until the flip-a-roo.

Olive got potatoes and a Bloody Mary. So good, i recommend Slappycakes to everyone.
We ate, giggled, made out, did some food art and then took off to take pics of each other's butts...for science.

f.y.i. Slappy gets crowded, if that happens there are food carts just across the street.

My bike, cut in half and thrown on the scrap truck.NOW FIXED!!!!

Here it is folks a sorry sight indeed.
I hear it was personal and I'm not surprised.
If tv has taught me anything I know that they are jealous of my freedom (lol just kidding).
Several tallbikes were stolen and the Behemoth cut in two.
Now I have the job of using the setback to grow stronger...

Enter my old friend Toaster the Builder he is the guy who built most of our bikes.
He and Jonny D. found the Behemoth in the scrap heap.

I have to answer to him about his bikes, sometimes I have crappy answers!
"Dingo what happened to Broadzilla?"
"Forks flew off during a stunt...sorry"
"Where is the Spin Cycle?"
"Stolen man, some dude took off with it."
"Behemoth?"
"Cut in half by homebums."
I never thought anything would ever happen to the Behemoth...it's just so darn big!

There's a turf war between a group of pro housless folks and street performers.
Each faction's presence weakens the game of the other.
They can't take me head on so the cut my bikes up when I had to leave them overnight locked to a rack.
The Behemoth is one of the flagships. I was told it couldn't be repaired.
Toaster was so fed up with the cowardice of that act that he sat in his workshop and re-built the Behemoth.
WOW! What a master of metal.
Now I have it here and it works better than before.
I got lucky, they hit the puppet instead of the hand and to show my appreciation for that I'm gonna go ahead and forgive who ever knucklehead hates me so.
I love that my bike (and magic wand) has scars now.
Very Greatful to Toaster (Topher Moore) for getting the big B back on the road.

Quick blessing from the Kalisti.

Toaster you are the best! Thank you so much!

Like what we do?
Here is a place to pitch in.
