Pics from our show last night

Pics from our show last night opening for Curtis Carlyle at Dante's. He has a great kickstarter designed to bring live circus love to places that normally can't afford it like senior centers and schools. I put a link in the comments. Great idea Curt, nice seeing you.

Olive took this cool pic the other day.

I took off but forgot to secure my kickstand. It interfered with the travel of the pedal and my bike quickly froze.
I have a second or two to come up with what to do.
She caught a pic of that second where I'm carefully walking back down the bike before gravity takes me down the hard way.

I would have been grumpy had I spilled this bangin' cup of Thai Tea.

Like what we do? Drop a dime into our Virtual tip jar of sustainability.

Olive went for a run. She doesn't look like a clown.

She looks like a really hot jogger with the ponytail, form-fitting tights and big boobs straining against her sports top.
When she got home one of the construction workers across the street knocked on the door.
She answered the door sweaty at the temples and chest heaving.

"S'cuse me Miss, do you know who owns that car?" Olive: "Nope, sorry." (long awkward silence).
Then he answered a question she didn't ask. "
Yeah I just got back from Hawaii check out my tan." (he shows her his biceps, more awkwardness ensues.)
She eventually closed the door.
Half an hour later we were headed to the gig.
Olive the clown walked by him but he didn't recognize her.
I guess he was too busy daydreaming about the hotty across the street.
I do love the dude's hustle. :)

Today's scouting patrol.

Today's scouting patrol. We rode to half a dozen parks plotting routes for future bike rides as well as surveyed places to busk. We also spent a lot of the day holding hands, giggling and meeting people on the street. I just re-repainted my bike today. Every time I look down I get "Raspberry beret" from Prince in my head. After the scouting was done we decided to order Siri Thai. Olive called them from the a park and after some more fooling around we had yummy thai food in our grubby wittle hands. We can always tell when we get back to our neighborhood, there are bikes bolted high on the phone poles (last pic). lol

"You got it Bro!"

Someone driving by just yelled "Don't you dare ever apologize!"
I yelled back, "I'm sorry, what did you say?"
I didn't catch the drift because I couldn't defrag the statement fast enough to comprendo.
They were long gone before I gave the thumbs up and yelled back,
"You got it Bro!" .

new digs debriefing

It's interesting adjusting to our move from the old place. We spent many year directly in harms way. Living by the Safeway bottle return was no picnic but it was all we knew for almost 10 years.
It didn't start that way. We used to have a vibrant community.
Then most of our neighbors were classed out. Then all that was left were the new middleclass folks and the chronically desperate. We felt compelled to help the people as much as we could but then withdrew when it got really bad.
Now we have to understand how not to always have the heightened sense of awareness.
The new place offers safty, comfort, we can see the stars and have a yard.
But in our heads we are still by the bottle return.
An odd side effect of the new place: sleeping. We used to only sleep a few hours a night but now in the relative safety of our new place, we found ourselves sleeping in and actually being late for gigs. Oops better not get complacent.

I love Portland free boxes. So much of the coolest stuff I ever brought home came from random boxes of stuff people put out. Today I found t...
