I have always been a citizen but I spent a decade hitch hiking around the country with no ID. I would get jobs in towns and work them until someone got tired of asking for my ID. Instead of getting ID I would just vanish to another town. All the info was correct I just paid but never collected. I would have to ask fellow employees to deposit my check and give me the money. Often I couldn't have gotten mail anyway. I stayed in squats and even a drainage culvert. Good times.
