The 2009 American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure is taking place July 25th in Hillsboro, Oregon. Tour de Cure is a series of fund-raising cycling events held in 40 states nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association. This is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone. The event will host activities and informative booths for family and friends to help raise awareness about diabetes and promote healthy lifestyles. The mission is to prevent and cure diabetes, and to improve the lives of all people affected by this disease. There are four cycling routes; a 108 mile "century" ride, a 65 mile ride, a 27 mile ride and a 10 mile "family" ride.
