Wanna come to a circus with me?
Looks like my old friends Batty's Hippodrome, March Fourth and Trashcan Joe
will be performing at city hall!
thats Portland City Hall
1221 SW 4th
FREE!
Here is what Ring Master Noah had to say...
"My fellow Cascadians, I wish you a fair and frigid early Sunday morning.
As the founder and co-producer of circus stronghold Batty's
Hippodrome, I regret to inform the deservedly-perplexed ticketbuyers
of Portland that She is no longer with us. After surviving Her
initial transplantation from Victorian London to the bloodstained
frontier of the New Colonies; thence to her Her first
seemingly-permanent home at former arts scene Someday Lounge; and at
last to the ill-fated venue which bore Her name; The Hippodrome's
strength has failed Her at last, and those of us who traveled under
Her banner have at last laid Her name to rest.
But fear not, ye faithful followers of the Big Top Revolution. For
all our proud family has reconvened with thrice the strength and
numbers, embracing at last the Destiny we have resisted for too long:
A Home on the Endless Road. And for this latest chapter in our epic
tale, we have chosen a more fitting nomme d'etage:
WANDERLUST CIRCUS.
And so it is Wanderlust Circus who shall, along with our compatriots
from Trashcan Joe and The March Fourth Marching Band, bestow upon the
honorable Mayor Sam Adams the quasi-official blessing and endorsement
of the Freak Culture this coming Monday morning at 5pm at City Hall -
the first time we've ever set foot in a government building without
handcuffs.
GODSPEED THE 21ST CENTURY!
5000. - WM.B."
