a story of a Fox, an Olive and a Dingo

Tuesday was all about sitting in the rain waiting for my burrito. But Today I was stoked that the sun was out-ish.
 A perfect day to meet up with our friend Silver Fox for food and frolic.
 After our gigs we met her at a Thai place we like a lot.
The plan is Thai tea and soup at Siri Thai, then we teach her to ride a tall bike.

I love that this sign has a running score of trucks who hit this yellow pole. trucks 98 pole 0.         That's an awesome pole, having a great season. 

            We had to duck lots of new foliage. It's a hazard but also fun excuse to duck and dive.

Going Dutch

 Gig for the Dutch Society. It can be daunting when the kids are older and most of them have never heard of us. I also didn't know how our Portland "punk rock style" set would go over with the elderly Dutch Denizens. After we got them all on board it was great. The Dutch band called us a hard act to follow and the everybody was rocking to our music. This gig was extra special because Olive's family is Dutch. They turned out and got to see our show as well as the big crowd's pleasant reaction to us. I gave my son some money before the show so he could try all the kinds of Dutch food being offered, he took these pics and used his lunch money to buy a classic Dutch plastic leggo,killer robot...just like the ones in the old country. Thank you to Olive's Mom for looking after him while we did the clown thing. We made a lot of great new friends and had a fun family event.

Under a years old grand opening sign

I was eating a burrito

She stuffed the cash in my hand

                                                      We pretended it was a drug deal.

                                                                                                   We wedged the painting in her bike.

On the corner

I love that mint grows all around. 

Walking back from a cafe I noticed a cool kid picking 

some at the corner.

 I smiled and said "Ya might want to grab from the

top-".

 Before finishing my thought, he sprung up and told 

me he was fine thankyou.

He described his long 6 year cooking history and 

even his childhood job landscaping. 

I sipped my coffee and moved on.

 Had he let me finish I would have said

 "- because you are picking where dogs pee ...

All darn day." 

His vast 6 years culinary career did less to inform 

him than my 6 years living on that corner.
