Wel as some of you know, we had a flaming spool riding clown last year named Franc that we accidently sold to a cult in Indonesia, well when the quake shook the bejeezuz out of the whole group of islands I had to email and ask if he is ok.
I'm glad to report he is.
Still kicking. Jogjakarta is about as far from us as Seattle is from PDX. A friend of ours was actually hanging out around Marapi (the live volcano) when the earthquake happened. He freaked out because he thought the volcano was erupting. He phoned about it and we had no idea how serious the whole thing was until days later. No TV in our place. Real sad. Lots of temples and villages destroyed. The government and people have been reacting well. The president moved his office to Jogya and slept outside like everyone else. Indonesia is never boring, right? Take care all...

Ok, I'm cleaning my office here at the Clown House, see I have more room since my rat died yesterday.
Cancer affects the black and white , over-bred rats like gangbusters, we had a wild rat for the longest time. Our rats usually die of old age, this one lost the farm in her prime.
I built a pyre in the yard as soon as I detected the smell of dead rat, and now she is smoldering in the yard after being cremated. It was real horror show. The other day, when the cancer made the poor girl swell up like a softball, she couldn't get between her bars so she got stuck and there. She hung for hours until I got home from work, woke Caffo up and we went to the grisly task of extracting her.
This is why I don't care for horror movies, in my life I have seen real horror both in humans and animals.
So I'm sure she is in a much better place. Life after death was only invented during the time of the Old Testament and I do think it's a crock of shmit, used for early crowd control, but in this case I think dead is way better than swollen and in pain.
I'm still not all together online, and so I can't show you the photos of the RV exploding in the yard, or the wedding, but it should come soon...Brice willing.

Hay Yall
I don't quite yet have internet at the Clown House but we are working on it.
I just wanted to mention a few things
1. The Art Hop is this weekend and we will be performing in the alley next to the Clown House around 1:00, I hear there might be a lot of rain but in any case Pinga and I will be really funny and really stupid selling water balloons.
2. There is no Pope in the bible. That has nothing to do with anything else but I just have to say stuff like that when I eavesdrop and hear people arguing about religion, I also like to say that there are no more or less tornados in the mid west, just far more people building houses in tornado alley.
3. Last Thursday will be the scene of a real live circus wedding, show up and see the crap.
4. I have some huge dice for the Bikini Bike wash and hot dice game, it's gonna be great. June 25th at the Clown House.
5. We got a new porch!
6.The other day an RV exploded near our front yard, photos to come when we teach our computor to post Pingas pics.
7. We are recruting! got an act? I'm looking for sober, driven, talented people for the show contact me at fastclown@veryfast.biz

Franc remembers us!
Hey Yall, remember Franc, the gay,1940's,army clown who was in our show last year?
He sure pleased the crowds with his amazing spool riding and
wonerful skits. Boy did that guy leave a cool legacy of drawings, plans, props and ideas. He and his gal Naya played huge rolls in getting those clown videos made that we keep showing.
Well they ran off to Indonisia for some reason (I think it was because she told him to)and I hear they are getting wedlocked soon.
Here is word of clownarchy from the other side of the world.
HEY DOODS

HEY DOODS
I've got a couple of minutes here at the internet rental place so I thought I'd say howdy. Congrats on the little rugrat. I think Naya expressed how happy we are for you guys in her last e-mail.
Mayday here was really intense. The government is enforcing a new labor law which takes rights away from farmers and factory workers (as if they weren't fucked enough already). Groups of activists and demonstrators came in to Jakarta from the busload. We live in a little flat about a quarter of a mile from the main Roundabout where most demonstrations converge. The whole week before the demonstrations, the military was setting up barricades and distributing vehicles. They even positioned tanks in front of the swanky gated communites where the politicians live. We woke up monday morning to the distant marching of thousands of demonstrating workers. We strolled down to the roundabout to check things out and cheer on the working man and woman. If there is one thing that Indonesians do, it is demonstrate, and Mayday was no exception. The malls were closed off and hundreds of police officers and military police lined the streets. Demonstrators marched in matching bandanas from various different unions. We were all a little afraid that it might get out of control, as mob mentality in this country can be disastorous (in the chaos following the governmental collaspe in '98 - mob violence and destruction cost thousands of Jakartans their lives). The event was peaceful though, and we watched as all the workers marched down the main drag in Jakarta, now car free for a couple of hours, lines of colourful bandanas and printed banners. A succesful Mayday.
Gotta run, the coin op computer is running out of juice!
Keep making those portlanders happy - I love being able to check out what's going on from this side of the globe. Oh yeah, my friend Patrick is moving up to Portland. He is a really cool guy and an excellent photographer and video artist. I told him to check you guys out.

A hint
When I go to the video rental place I found that a great way to really get my money's worth is to look at the running time to see just how much my $2:50 is paying for.
I don't care if the movie sucks as long as it's over an hour long I don't feel ripped off.
Just a hint.

Brice rocks!
I'm sitting at the Clown House Computor for the first time in weeks.
Our pal Brice has put in some hours reinventing the Clown House Computor situation and I'm so glad.
We lost all our files and photos but thats cool with me because I always share my photos with you so mine are all on this site.
Here is a drawing I did years ago when I found out about photo shop and wanted to see what it could do.
This guy is from my novella "A Shmanarchist Tale"he is a hippy Clown named Neptune Dizmal.

hey friends!
The fence surounding the clown house is in sorry shape.
Anyone know who would fix it up or replace it for trade or free?
We do have a circus fund but I would rather spend it on rubber chickens and other important stuff.
We may be back on line as soon as thursday, right now Im depending on the internet sevices at the Star E rose Cafe on Alberta

Mayday, Mayday! by Caffeine Jones
Kudos to all who took to the streets Mayday for the immagrants who makeup our ZANY nation.
La lucha continua!
Our Movie night, A Day Without A Mexican, was enjoyed by all (except my daughter, who is 1/4 Mexican, and took the plot a little too seriously..."but where did all the Mexicans GO?").
If you missed it, don't worry: This was the first of many. The outdoor season is just beginning, so check in here for updates!
Next show-
May 10th at The Know
that's all for now. If you want to hear me rant, you can check out my blog, http://www.hipmama.com/node/21348
